Job OverviewBradford District Care Trust (BDCFT) is an award‐winning Trust dedicated to providing high‐quality, community‐based mental and community health services. We are seeking a Support Worker to join our City Community Mental Health team.
Responsibilities
Support and encourage individuals working towards recovery from severe and complex mental health issues within a multidisciplinary community team.
Assist qualified Health and Social Care staff under direct and indirect supervision with assessment, provision and evaluation of care and treatment for patients who are difficult to engage.
Drive patients to appointments and other required destinations; must hold a valid car driving licence.
Provide practical advice, support and guidance to clients, carers and families as part of an agreed care plan.
Participate in mandatory and relevant training to develop skills and knowledge for the post.
Qualifications and requirements
Valid driving licence and the ability to drive for work purposes.
Willingness to undertake mandatory training and any additional training relevant to the role.
Good communication skills and empathy towards clients and team members.
Legal right to work in the UK. Applicants must confirm employment eligibility and notify the Trust of any changes in immigration status.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Home Office skilled worker visa eligibility list.
