Job Title: Junior Finance Business PartnerResponsible to: Senior Finance Business PartnerLocation: London (Grazing HQ / Client Sites)Department: RAG FinanceOverall Purpose of the Role To finance business partner the leadership of the Grazing business (MD, OD & Head of Food). A high profile & influential role, delivering commercial support to a newly acquired business unit. Through effective business partnering, the role will continuously drive service levels, cost effectiveness & add value to undertaken commercial activities.Key Accountabilities Business partner the Managing Director, Operations Director & Head of Food, ensuring strong commercial & operational decision makingProvide continuous commercial & strategic support onsite at Grazing HQ & client sites, in order to support key business decisions & ensure successful delivery of the finance functionManage financial risks & opportunities, both as they materialise as well as in a preventative capacityDevelop strong relationships with key internal & external stakeholders, including but not limited to: Grazing management, wider Compass teams (finance & beyond), customers, clients & suppliersPreparation & review of annual budgets & forecastsLead the month end close & posting of journalsPreparation of & review of monthly management information, including in-depth variance & root cause analysisPrepare the monthly business review packCompletion & attendance of balance sheet reviews, ensuring compliance with Group Accounting ManualUtilise data management, analytics & reporting tools to drive financial & operational performanceWork with the wider finance team to continually develop KPIs & ensure that end users are focusing on the right metrics to drive profitable growthPromote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing & active management of debt ledgersFinancial oversight for all contract amendments, pricing changes & extensions/retentionsChallenge & appraise investment decisionsBuild, maintain & deploy a commercial bid model, utilised for new business proposals (e.g. Tenders), which constantly evolves through challenging underlying assumptionsDeliver proactive, ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision makingPerson Specification Relevant degree or equivalent Qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMAAt least 3 years post qualification experience, preferably in a business facing finance roleBusiness process re-engineering experience.Experience of delivering proactive, relevant and insightful business decision supportHigh numeracy and analytical skillsAbility to communicate oral and written information concisely and logicallyAbility to analyse and evaluate informationLeadership behaviours Ability to influence stakeholdersLeadership qualities that enables them to create an environment of motivation/inspiration for others to achieve their highest potentialAbility to quickly earn respect and make others want to follow without relying on formal authorityFacilitates consensus as well as action; resolves conflict; overcomes resistanceDemonstrates high integrity through open and honest business dealings inside and outside the CompanyA team player comfortable working across a diverse organisation and different culturesDemonstrates the credibility and gravitas to operate comfortably at leadership levelLearning & Development Requirements Essential: Experience with Excel, SAP, Power BIContractsOrganisational and prioritisation skillsNegotiation and influencingDesirable: Experience working with a CPU-driven business
