Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedics & Trauma

Are you looking to gain hands‐on experience in a dynamic and supportive orthopaedic department? Join us as a Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedics and Trauma , where you'll work alongside Core Trainees and Foundation Year doctors on a busy junior rota.

In this role, you'll be actively involved in the medical and surgical management of orthopaedic patients , including:

Assessing patients in the Emergency Department

Assisting in theatre alongside experienced consultants

Managing orthopaedic cases on the wards

Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will work within an orthopaedic department that consists of 18 Consultants covering all aspects of elective orthopaedics and general orthopaedic trauma, with participation on the on‐call rota. We are part of a major trauma network with the major trauma centre based in Leeds. We have an elective ring‐fenced ward and a dedicated trauma ward that supports both aspects of the service.

Job responsibilities

Work in a Renowned Orthopaedic Department – Be part of a team of 16 expert Consultants, covering all aspects of elective and trauma orthopaedics.

Major Trauma Exposure – As part of the West Yorkshire Major Trauma Network, you'll work closely with the Major Trauma Centre in Leeds.

Diverse Clinical Experience – Gain exposure in theatres, outpatient clinics, and our innovative virtual fracture clinic.
