Academy Football Analyst Placement Student Academy Football Analyst Placement StudentA season in the heart of Premier League football analysis!Contract: Student Placement (1 July 2026 – 31 May 2027)Eligibility: Must require a placement year as part of your university course (Undergraduate Placement / Sandwich Year)Hours: Full timeRemuneration: Paid expenses onlyLocation: Chadwell Heath Training Ground (with occasional travel across WHU sites)Overview West Ham United is looking for enthusiastic placement students to join our Football Analysis teams for the 2026/27 season. You'll be working across the Men's First Team, Women's First Team, or Academy (please specify your preference when applying!). You'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, elite environment — capturing training footage, analysing matches, supporting GPS and data monitoring, and helping deliver insights that influence performance on and off the pitch.If you love football, technology, and learning from top-level analysts, this placement will give you a season you'll never forget.Position What You'll Be Doing (Your Matchday & Training Duties)Supporting all areas of training and match analysisAssisting with daily player monitoringFilming training, matchdays, and rehab sessionsHelping collect, record, and manage GPS and training-load data (pre-, live- and post-training)Contributing to individual and team analysis, pre- and post-matchAssisting with tracking and analysing West Ham loan playersEnsuring all analysis equipment is maintained and ready for matchdaysWorking closely with First Team Analysts to deliver high-quality insights, bringing energy, creativity, and innovationRequirements What We're Looking ForCurrently studying for an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Performance Analysis) and eligible for a placement yearKnowledge or experience of Hudl softwareAble to travel and commit to regular weekend workSkills & Behaviours Strong communication skills and the ability to build great working relationshipsHighly organised with strong attention to detailReliable, driven, and committed to delivering high-quality workPositive mindset with a solution-focused approachEnthusiastic team player who thrives under pressureAdditional Information This is a full-time placement, and flexibility is key — you'll be expected to work in line with team schedules and player availability.
