7.5t Driver (C1) – Local, Overtime & Night Shifts

Driver Hire Huddersfield are on the lookout for 7.5t Drivers based here in Kirklees area - we are seeking 7.5t LGV Drivers Category C1 - to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands, the candidates must possess both a DQC CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.

Ensure that the vehicle and it's cargo get to their destination safely.

Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.

Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.

Be in possession of a Cat C1 (7.5T) UK driving licence

Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK

Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

£12.60 Basic

£16.75 Overtime

£14.15 Nights

Wages done at source through PAYE

Auto enrollment into a Pension through NOW Pensions

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading.
