Job description

Driver Hire Huddersfield are recruiting for experienced Van drivers based in West Yorkshire - if you are an experienced driver with multi-drop or driven flatbed vans or with skills including strapping, why not join us? We are working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands, we need candidates with delivery driver experience.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.

Ensure that the vehicle and it's cargo get to their destination safely.

Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.

Be in possession of a Full UK driving licence (held 2 years)

Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK

Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

8 Hours minimum daily guaranteed

£12.21 Basic

£16.00 Overtime

£13.75 Nights

Wages done at source through PAYE

Auto enrollment into a Pension through NOW Pensions

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading.
