PR & Media Outreach Internship

Job description

Break Into High-Level Media, Book Publicity, Finance Visibility & Global StorytellingAre you a bold communicator who dreams big—not someone who thinks a local fintech meetup is "press coverage," but someone who wants to pitch to the top 5 U.S. Podcasts, major TV networks, global financial media, and tier-1 journalists?

Do you want to work directly with a hedge fund founder, world traveler, and upcoming author whose books span global macro, geopolitics, world travel, adventure, and contrarian finance ?

If you aspire to media, PR, journalism, book publicity, or high-level communication , this internship is a rare launchpad.

About UsWe are a selective global hedge fund and media platform operating across New York, London, Zurich, Stockholm, and Connecticut , with a quantitative, volatility-focused strategy and near-zero market correlation. Our founder's upcoming books - including travel, finance, global macro, and adventure memoirs—are poised for major visibility.

We are seeking ambitious, elite interns who understand that PR is not about "writing a press release" - it's about getting the right story into the right room .

About the InternshipYou will work on real global press outreach , including:

Major U.S. Podcasts (Lex Fridman, The Tim Ferriss Show, JRE, All-In, etc.)

Global news (BBC, FT, The Economist)

Tier-1 journalists and influential writers

Major book reviewers and book influencers

High-level travel, adventure, and geopolitics media

You will learn how to craft pitches, identify angles, build media lists, and create a systematic outreach strategy for a global author and hedge fund founder.

You will also develop digital content skills by creating Instagram posts, repurposing media appearances into social content, updating website sections, and producing short-form videos to amplify visibility across platforms.

This is not a small-minded PR internship. This is global-scale communications architecture .

Responsibilities

Research top-tier podcasts, media outlets, TV segments, and journalists

Draft and refine media pitches tailored to finance, macro, travel, and global storytelling

Build & maintain media lists, outreach trackers, and pitch cadences

Learn how to pitch and secure interviews with major U.S. And UK media

Coordinate outreach for book launches, author appearances, speaking opportunities

Track responses, follow-ups, and scheduling opportunities

Support creation of press kits, bios, media decks, and promotional assets

Create and design Instagram posts and social media content for author platform and brand visibility

Update and maintain website content, including news sections, media appearances, and press coverage

Produce short-form video content for social media, including clips, reels, and promotional videos, and assist in overall social media positioning for major influencer alignment

We Are Looking For Candidates Who

Have a passion for media, journalism, PR, communications, or content strategy

Think globally, not locally

Can imagine reaching out to BBC , CNBC , or top-5 U.S. Podcasts —not just local publications

Are articulate, resourceful, and persistent

Are elegant communicators (written + verbal)

Can craft compelling stories and angles

Are self-directed, ambitious, and able to chase stretch opportunities

What You Will Gain

Experience pitching real stories to real global media

A portfolio showing you helped launch an author brand internationally

First-hand exposure to hedge funds, financial storytelling, global macro narratives

Visibility into the mechanics of elite PR and high-end book launches

Experience working with a selective hedge fund founder with global presence

Potential for follow-on internships in investor relations, hedge fund marketing, or capital outreach

A career-making line on a resume for journalism, PR, or media roles

Location: London

Compensation: Unpaid , with significant professional development

Eligibility: Students or recent graduates (Journalism, Communications, PR, Media, English, International Relations, Finance)

Start dates: Rolling, with priority for immediate starters

This opportunity is structured as a selective institute-based professional training programme offered by Britannica Capital Institute, providing exposure comparable to elite internships in an educational (non-employment) context, and leveraging decades of institutional training frameworks developed through Swiss Finance Academy. Upon successful completion, high-performing interns may be considered for additional internships or expanded roles across investor relations, hedge funds, capital strategy, or media divisions in New York, London, Zurich, Stockholm, and other global offices.
