We're looking for a Junior Integration Specialist to join our IT Department and support the delivery of our Global Integration Roadmap. You'll work alongside experienced Integration Specialists and Analysts, helping to build, test, and maintain the connections that keep our systems running smoothly, both internally and with our external partners.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop hands‐on experience in integrations, data flows, APIs, and EDI, while working with tools such as SSIS, SQL, and ZappySys.

This permanent, full‐time, hybrid working (3 days a week in the office) is based at our Letchworth Garden City Head office.

Responsibilities

Build strong working relationships with stakeholders who rely on integration solutions.

Support the development and maintenance of integrations using SSIS, SQL, and ZappySys, working with flat files, APIs, and database connections.

Help develop integrations using technologies like Java, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, REST, SOAP, and JSON (with training and guidance).

Assist with EDI connections for suppliers and customers, and learn common EDI standards along the way.

Use SQL to query and manipulate data for integration development and troubleshooting.

Learn how to review database objects (tables, views, triggers, stored procedures) and spot potential improvements.

Support scheduled jobs, data integrity checks, and alerting through SQL Management Studio.

Help design data flows between systems, ensuring reliability, quality, and good error handling.

Participate in end-to-end testing of integrations and the business processes they support.

Work with the wider IT team to resolve integration issues and maintain operational stability.

Help hand over new interfaces to business teams, including documentation and knowledge sharing.

Projects

Support EDI implementations for customer transactions such as orders, invoices, and advance shipping notices.

Assist in integrations between internal systems and third‐party logistics providers.

Enhance and support integrations with Amazon APIs and related interfaces.

Contribute to data flows between ERP, eCommerce, and customer‐facing platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

SQL (writing simple queries or pulling data for investigation)

SSIS or other data integration tools

APIs or data formats like JSON/XML

A logical approach to problem‐solving

Good communication skills and a willingness to learn

You don't need to be an expert, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in integration work are what truly matter. But experience or awareness of any of the following is a plus.
