Stock Controller

Job description

We are seeking an organised and proactive Stock Controller to manage Cinergi's warehouse operations and ensure engineers have the materials they require to complete installations efficiently.The successful candidate will take ownership of stock control, job preparation, warehouse organisation and goods handling. A key part of the role is ensuring that materials required for upcoming jobs are picked, organised and ready for engineers to collect, while also monitoring materials returned to the warehouse, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring stock levels are replenished when required.This role plays a key part in supporting engineers and ensuring projects run smoothly by maintaining a well-organised and efficiently managed warehouse.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Prepare and organise materials for upcoming installation jobs based on job sheets and project requirements.Ensure all required equipment and materials are picked, labelled and ready for engineers to collect before they leave site.Identify missing materials or shortages and notify the relevant team in advance.Stock Control Maintain accurate stock records for all materials stored within the warehouse.Ensure all materials entering or leaving the warehouse are accurately recorded on the warehouse in/out stock log via JobLogic software.Record stock movements promptly to maintain accurate inventory levels.Monitor and record materials returned to the warehouse by engineers following completion of jobs, using JobLogic.Inspect returned materials and determine whether they should be returned to stock or returned to suppliers.Investigate and report stock discrepancies or missing items.Monitor stock levels and ensure regularly used materials are restocked when required.Liaise with the Finance & Operations Director to reorder materials in a timely manner to avoid shortages.Maintain appropriate minimum stock levels for commonly used installation materials.Goods In & Out Ensure all goods coming in and out are recorded on JobLogic.Receive deliveries and ensure goods are checked against purchase orders and delivery notes.Organise dispatch of materials where required.Maintain the daily goods-in and goods-out records.Warehouse Management Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment.Ensure storage areas are organised to support efficient picking and stock management.Ensure the warehouse and yard areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.Ensure waste materials, packaging and scrap are kept organised and removed regularly.Arrange and manage scrap collections and waste removal where required.Maintain tidy waste and recycling areas.Health & Safety Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.Carry out and record daily forklift inspections before equipment is used.Conduct and document monthly warehouse racking inspections to ensure safe storage systems.Maintain safe working practices across the warehouse environment.Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions.Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment and machinery.Support compliance with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems.Role Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control or logistics role.Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.Good IT skills and confidence using stock management systems or spreadsheets.Strong communication skills when working with engineers and office teams.
