We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing all temporary works activities on site, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety procedures, and project requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring temporary works are properly designed, implemented, inspected, and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.

Role PurposeThe Temporary Works Coordinator will oversee the planning, coordination, and safe implementation of all temporary works activities on site. You will work closely with site management, engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure temporary works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry regulations and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all Temporary Works activities on site in accordance with BS5975 and company procedures.

Ensure all Temporary Works designs are reviewed, approved, and implemented correctly before work commences.

Maintain and manage the Temporary Works Register and ensure all relevant documentation is controlled and up to date.

Liaise with designers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure temporary works requirements are clearly communicated and implemented.

Ensure all Temporary Works are inspected, maintained, and removed safely when no longer required.

Support the preparation and approval of RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work related to temporary works.

Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all site operations.

Identify and manage risks associated with temporary works, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Proven experience working as a Temporary Works Coordinator on infrastructure or major construction projects.

Strong understanding of BS5975 Temporary Works procedures.

Experience coordinating with design teams, engineers, and site management.

Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality management processes.

Experience working on large infrastructure programmes, ideally including pipeline or utilities projects.

Experience within large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

Familiarity with NEC contracts.

Understanding of production-based delivery approaches.
