We're looking for a temporary Retail Assistant to work at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, SS16 5NL. In this role, you'll be the friendly face of our retail unit, making sure customers have a great experience every time they visit.

This is a temporary contract with casual hours

£12.21 per hour

Monday to Friday predominantly with scheduled weekend work as and when required

Shifts ranging between 7am and 5:30pm

Job Responsibilities

Serve customers and process payments accurately

Keep shelves stocked and displays looking great

Receive deliveries and manage stock levels

Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workspace

Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards

Support with opening and closing the retail unit

Key Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential – we'll provide full training

Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own

Must be flexible in all aspects of working rosters (including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays).
