Job DescriptionOverviewWe are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants / Mental Health Support Workers to support an adult living in a supported living setting in Shrewsbury / Telford.

This role involves supporting an individual with complex mental health needs, helping them live safely and independently within their home environment.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will:

Provide person-centred care and emotional support

Support individuals with mental health needs and behaviours that challenge

Assist with daily living tasks and routines

Encourage independence and wellbeing

Promote community engagement and positive activities

Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff

Maintain clear and accurate care documentation

Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs

Experience in supported living, complex care, or residential care

Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compassionate, patient and reliable approach

Desirable

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

Experience supporting complex mental health or brain injury

Training in PMVA / MAPA / CPI / de-escalation
