Facade Manager

Job description

Role Purpose

Lead the design, coordination, installation, and handover of façade systems, ensuring all elements meet technical, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review façade specifications and subcontractor proposals for compliance
• Coordinate design teams and subcontractors through meetings and technical reviews
• Manage façade interfaces to ensure air and weather tightness
• Plan and oversee façade programme alongside the Project Manager
• Ensure availability of drawings for design, procurement, and manufacturing
• Chair progress meetings covering safety, quality, and scheduling
• Manage technical submittals, approvals, samples, and testing
• Track KPIs including progress, quality, procurement, and safety
• Coordinate material procurement and site logistics
• Review RAMS and use BIM tools for quality and progress monitoring
• Prepare handover documentation including Safety File and O&M manuals
• Manage variations, budgets, and timelines with project stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years’ experience managing façade projects of similar scale
• Experience on data centres or complex builds desirable
• Relevant construction or trade qualification
• Chartered status (e.g. MICE, MCIOB) preferred
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, UK regulations, and BIM tools
• Understanding of sustainable façade practices and London construction standards
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
