Purpose:

The Area Sales Manager plays a vital role in developing our sustained growth in the Commercial market. The ASM will be responsible for the management, development and growth of a strong network of loyal customers in their Area.

The ASM will understand customer needs and work with other company departments to provide the support needed for growth.


Main Duties:

  • Identify and target potential business clients, including builders, contractors, and retailers, through market research and networking
  • Generate qualified leads and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding client needs, challenges, and objectives
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients
  • Skilfully negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals, ensuring all aspects of the deal align with company objectives and policies
  • Provide exceptional post-sales support, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Monitor and share market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecast, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of our products/services
  • Attend events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote company products and services


Essential Experience / Skills:

  • Prior commercial experience within the façade industry
  • Numerate and technically competent
  • Confident and engaging presenter
  • Self-motivated, proactive and organised approach to workload focused on taking meaningful action to consistently achieve results even under tough circumstances
  • Crafted sales approach based on building long-term, valuable relationships, ability to understand, identify customer needs and proactively present tailored solutions that help them achieve their business goals
  • Collaborative team member that builds trusts, communicates respect and utilises others diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
  • Experience with Salesforce / similar CRM systems
  • Full, clean driving licence


Desirable Experience / Skills:

  • Experience in estimating/ tendering projects in the façade industry
  • Familiarity with UK-specific regulations, sustainability standards and market trends
  • Strategic mindset with strong data-driven approach, analytical and targeted strategies, problem solving skills
  • Resilient, ability to bounce back and preserve in the face of challenges
