Job Title: Senior Account Manager / Team Leader (Commercial Insurance)

Location: London

Salary: Up to £65,000

The London office has doubled in size over the past year, with further expansion planned.


Role Summary:

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of a developing London office. You’ll work closely with leadership on shaping the team, mentoring colleagues, and managing a portfolio of commercial clients. The business is keen to bring in individuals who can contribute to its culture, support development of others, and grow alongside the organisation as it scales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial clients: Build long-term relationships and deliver tailored insurance solutions
  • Support team development: Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, contributing to team capability
  • Contribute to office growth: Play a key role in expanding the London presence and shaping team structure
  • Handle new business and renewals: Ensure high retention and identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with leadership: Influence team direction and support ongoing hiring and development plans
  • Maintain market relationships: Strengthen insurer partnerships to benefit client outcomes


Requirements:

  • Background in commercial insurance (broker, handler, or account management)
  • Experience working with sectors such as construction, property, or real estate preferred
  • Exposure to mentoring, coaching, or informal leadership responsibilities
  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills
  • Collaborative mindset with a team-first approach
