We're recruiting a Business Development Manager, handling new business in the Southern Region of the United Kingdom, for a well-established manufacturer of industrial networking products for the Railway industry.
Package:
- £70,000 to £80,000 Starting Salary
- £21,000 to £24,000 Company Bonus
- Company Car

Key Requirements:
- To identify, develop and convert new opportunities into sales, while maintaining a thorough watching brief and follow up procedure for potential opportunities.
- Understand and manage typical Rail and OT based tender processes and generate necessary responses with support from other team members.
- Clear ability to not only promote products but to sell additional value through software, professional services, service agreements and training.
- To have the ability to comprehend a customer’s challenge, be attentive to their needs and to work with our sale support teams and channels to demonstrate and proposition not only a technical but commercial solution.
The purpose of this role is to grow business relationships with our key strategic rail accounts throughout the UK and to hunt and drive new business across our customer base throughout the southern region.
As the role is within the sales team, the key expectation is to achieve sales and revenue targets. We encourage flexible working but need our sales team to engage with customers directly who now welcome face-to-face meetings.
