We’re Hiring: Sales Development Representative (Energy Sector)


Discovery Day – 15th April | Birmingham City Centre


Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid – 3 days office) Type: Permanent – Full Time Salary: £26,000–£28,000 base + commission (realistic OTE £38,000–£45,000+)


About The National Energy Hub The National Energy Hub (TNEH) is an award-winning energy & sustainability consultancy, helping organisations across the UK take control of their energy costs, cut carbon and move toward net zero.


We're scaling our sales team and running a Discovery Day on 15th April - a structured day where you'll meet the team, understand the role properly, and show us what you're made of.


The Role As a Sales Development Representative, you'll own the top of our sales funnel:


  • Turning cold and warm prospects into qualified meetings for our Energy Consultants
  • Re-engaging lapsed clients and bringing them back into the pipeline
  • Generating consistent, high-quality opportunities


You'll get structured training, a clear playbook, and day-to-day coaching - with a defined path to Energy Consultant / Account Manager in 6–12 months (OTE £40,000–£70,000+).


What You'll Be Doing

  • Outbound prospecting: calling and messaging UK businesses about energy renewals and procurement
  • Booking and qualifying meetings before handing to consultants
  • Re-engaging previous energy clients for renewal opportunities
  • Following up inbound leads and campaign enquiries
  • Hitting daily and monthly KPIs for calls, meetings and opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and renewal timelines
  • Representing TNEH professionally as an energy specialist


What We're Looking For

Essential

  • B2B outbound SDR / BDR or energy sales background
  • Confident discussing energy contracts, renewals and procurement basics
  • Target-driven, resilient and commercially minded
  • Looking to build a long-term career in the energy sector

Desirable

  • Experience at an energy broker, TPI, supplier or consultancy
  • Familiarity with CRMs and energy sales workflows
  • Interest in renewables, flexibility or sustainability
