Our client is seeking a strategic leader to drive business growth, deliver exceptional client outcomes, and build high-performing consulting teams.



Your objectives:

As the Principal Consultant, you will be measured against the following objectives:

  1. Deliver sustained revenue growth through new business development and expansion of key client accounts
  2. Lead the successful delivery of high-quality strategic consulting projects across research and development (R&D) through to commercialisation
  3. Build, develop, and retain a high-performing consulting team while contributing to broader organisational growth


What you will do:

As the Principal Consultant, your duties and responsibilities will include:

· Lead business development activities, including sales strategy, proposals, and client pitches

· Build and expand senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders

· Oversee the delivery of complex consulting engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client value

· Develop thought leadership through publications, conference speaking, and industry engagement

· Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and drive innovation within the consulting practice

· Manage commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract terms to support profitable growth

· Coach, mentor, and develop consultants to strengthen team capability and performance


What you will bring:

These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Principal Consultant:

· Extensive experience within healthcare or pharmaceutical consulting, with a strong focus on business development

· Proven ability to deliver strategic advisory projects across the product lifecycle from R&D to commercial launch and market access

· Deep therapeutic area expertise, ideally within oncology or related high-value areas

· Strong client relationship management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders

· Excellent commercial acumen, including experience managing revenue targets and structuring deals

· Demonstrated leadership experience in team management and development

· Advanced degree in life sciences such as Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent; Master of Business Administration (MBA) is desirable
