Job: Senior Quality Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Location: Bridgnorth


Overview


We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. Operating within a highly regulated environment, this role will play a key part in maintaining and improving quality standards in line with AS9100 requirements.


This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong aerospace background to take ownership of quality processes, support operational teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific quality requirements
  • Lead and support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
  • Manage non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
  • Support APQP, PPAP, FAI (First Article Inspection) and NPI activities
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and product quality
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer and supplier quality issues
  • Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business


Essential:


  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 standards
  • Experience with FAIRs, APQP, PPAP, and quality tools
  • Ability to lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Experience supporting or leading audits (internal, external, customer)
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
