Mechanical Fitter - Telford

WORLDWIDE TRAVEL IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE ROLE

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 07:45 – 17:00
  • Friday: 07:30 – 12:30 (Early Finish Fridays)

Salary:

£29,000 – £32,000 per annum; rising to £39,000 - £52,000 DOE due to international travel and weekly OTE

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join a manufacturing environment focused on quality, precision, and continuous improvement. This role involves the sub-assembly of mechanical systems and equipment, working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and take pride in producing high-quality builds while contributing positively to a team-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings
  • Use a wide range of hand tools to produce accurate, high-quality assemblies
  • Carry out mechanical inspections to ensure builds meet required standards
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety at all times

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, or a similar role
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience completing mechanical inspections
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Competent using a variety of hand tools for mechanical assembly and build work
