Quality Inspector (Lates)
Location: Alcester

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a precision engineering environment. The role will involve manual inspection, ensuring components meet quality, engineering, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- First-off, in-process, final, and receipt inspection
- CMM inspection including running and maintaining programmes
- Manual inspection of precision components
- Completion of FAIRs using CMM and manual methods
- Supporting NPI and liaising closely with Engineering
- Raising and managing non-conformances
- Accurate recording of inspection results within MRP systems
- Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S
Quality Inspection & Measuring Tools
- Confident using manual measuring equipment including:
- Vernier callipers
- Micrometers (internal, external, depth)
- Height gauges
- Bore gauges
- Thread gauges (GO/NO-GO)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans
- Experience inspecting to tight tolerances and quality standards
Skills & Experience
- Background in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering
- Experience with CMM and manual inspection methods
- Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
