The Role

As Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of critical building systems while leading a skilled team of engineers and operatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, KPIs, and safety standards
  • Acting as the technical lead for the site, advising clients and stakeholders
  • Managing remedial works and reviewing technical inspection reports
  • Overseeing CAFM systems, maintenance scheduling, and asset updates
  • Taking ownership of billable works up to £25k
  • Maintaining robust health & safety documentation
  • Building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners

You will play a vital role in supporting a facility critical to national defence and innovation, ensuring safety-critical systems operate flawlessly.


Leadership & Team Development

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and ready to grow. You don’t need to meet every requirement, but ideally you will have:

  • A technical qualification in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, or Air Conditioning)
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-security environment

Desirable (but not essential):

  • SMSTS (or working towards)
  • SC Clearance (or willingness to obtain)


Additional Requirements

  • Strong IT skills and confidence using CAFM systems
  • Comfortable working with data and administrative processes
