Full Stack Software Engineer – Digital Platforms
Location: Osterley, London (hybrid – 3 days in office)
Working Pattern: 45 hours per week, across 5 days

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of robust, scalable solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll play an active role in shaping engineering practices and delivering features that meet both user and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including editorial, product, and engineering colleagues
- Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment
- Contribute to technical decision-making and help improve development processes
- Work with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for new features
- Promote best practices in coding, testing, and system design
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve delivery efficiency
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
- Work across a varied and evolving technology stack
Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and React
- Solid understanding of application architecture, including performance, scalability, and security considerations
- Experience delivering projects in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools used for automated builds and deployments
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit and end-to-end testing
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) is advantageous
- Understanding of Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Bonus: experience with mapping or geospatial tools

Working Approach
This position follows a hybrid model, with a mix of office-based collaboration and remote working. Due to the nature of the role, the standard working week is 45 hours.
