Sole (Senior) Counsel

Job description

This role will be sole counsel in a technology not-for-profit focussed on creating a next-level UK tech ecosystem.

The Role

You will work closely with this experienced leadership team to support on a variety of commercial, partnership, IP and governance matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with businesses of all sizes across the UK markets, with responsibility for leading on partnership agreements
• Supporting an experienced, ambitious, leadership team as the initiative scales at speed
• Providing legal support across a range of commercial initiatives, contracts, IP and licensing matters, and governance.
• Instructing external counsel and leading a number of third party relationships

About You

• 8+ PQE (not strict)
• Previous in-house experience is preferable, ideally within a technology setting
• Demonstrable experience with a breadth of commercial matters, including IP and licensing agreements.
• Patents experience would be an advantage
• Pragmatic and commercially focused with excellent interpersonal skills
