Hiring: Associate Post-Transaction Pension Consultant (DB Pensions)


Birmingham | Edinburgh | Glasgow | London (Hybrid)

Are you looking to get involved in some of the most complex and rewarding endgame work in the market?


I’m currently hiring for an Associate Post Transaction Consultant to join a highly regarded pensions team, supporting schemes as they move from buy-in through to wind-up.


What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in helping Trustee Boards and Sponsoring Employers navigate the final stages of their pension journey, working across a varied and interesting portfolio of clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting or leading scheme wind-up projects
  • Acting as a key contact for trustees and stakeholders
  • Overseeing project plans, timelines, and delivery milestones
  • Coordinating with insurers, administrators, and advisers
  • Contributing to technical areas such as factor reviews, surplus, and benefit exercises
  • Providing oversight across key activities like GMP equalisation, data cleansing, and transitions
  • Building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality advice


What we’re looking for

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have experience across UK pensions, whether from:

  • Consultancy
  • Actuarial
  • Administration
  • In-house / scheme management


You’ll ideally have:

  • Progress towards (or completion of) a professional qualification (APMI, AFPC, IFoA, etc.)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
