A leading specialist marine insurer is seeking a War Underwriting Assistant to join its high‑performing underwriting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a calm, methodical approach to support underwriters operating in a complex and fast‑moving risk environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys processing work, data analysis, and supporting underwriting decisions, while building deep sector knowledge within the marine and war risks space.

The Role

Working closely with the underwriting team, you will provide essential support across day‑to‑day underwriting activity, including:

• Assisting underwriters with data gathering, processing and policy administration
• Reviewing and inputting risk information with accuracy and consistency
• Supporting rating, pricing and documentation preparation
• Monitoring accounts, updating internal systems, and tracking renewals
• Producing reports and analytics to assist with underwriting decisions
• Liaising with brokers and internal stakeholders in a professional, timely manner
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards
• This position requires someone who remains calm under pressure, can manage detailed information efficiently, and takes pride in delivering highly accurate work.
