12 month contract

£29,000 - £33,000 per annum

Excellent benefits

Full-time Office-based37.5 hours per week

Mon–Thu: 08:30–17:00 Fri: 08:30–14:30


At Green Folk, we’re excited to be supporting our client in the search for a proactive and organised People Coordinator who is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences. In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, data management, and day‑to‑day People operations. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, providing trusted support, ensuring smooth processes, and helping to foster a positive, engaging workplace culture.


The role

Employee Relations & People Support

Provide administrative support for informal or low-level ER matters, including attendance, conduct, and performance issues.

Attend meetings to take confidential notes and maintain accurate records.

Signpost managers to relevant policies and ensure processes are followed correctly, escalating where needed.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate recruitment activity, liaise with agencies, manage applicant tracking, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.

Prepare offer letters and contracts, complete right-to-work checks, set up new starters, and support induction sessions.

Payroll, Data & Reporting

Assist with monthly payroll preparation and processing.

Maintain accurate personnel files and HR system updates.

Support KPI reporting, including overtime, holiday accruals, and monthly datasets.

Ensure GDPR compliance and support audits.

Engagement & General HR Administration

Support employee recognition schemes, wellbeing initiatives, and volunteering programmes.

Process leavers, including system updates, paperwork, and exit interviews.

Provide administrative support across all areas of the People & Culture function and contribute to continuous improvement.


About You

You’re someone who brings a blend of HR administration experience, strong organisational skills, and a genuine passion for supporting people. You’ll be a key point of contact for employees and managers, so a friendly, professional, and approachable manner is essential.

Essential

  • Experience in HR/People administration roles.
  • Exposure to low-level ER processes (absence, conflict, performance).
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, or payroll (e.g., SAGE 50).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.
