Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home | Peterborough (PE1)

Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Flexible rota including weekends & sleep-ins

£16.93 per hour + £70.50 per sleep-in

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated residential team and ensure the home delivers exceptional care and support.

You’ll be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can grow and succeed.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Support – Inspire, mentor, and guide staff to deliver high-quality care

Drive Standards – Ensure compliance with safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted standards

Shape Care – Oversee and review person-centred care plans

Manage Operations – Support with budgets, staffing, and daily home management

Develop People – Lead training, performance, and continuous improvement

Create Culture – Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment

What We’re Looking For

✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)

✔ Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within residential childcare

✔ Strong understanding of safeguarding & Ofsted frameworks

✔ Excellent organisation and leadership skills

✔ Confident using digital care systems

⭐ Desirable:

➕ Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)

➕ Previous Deputy Manager experience
