Supply Chain Manager | Space Industry | Glasgow (On-site) | Full-Time, Permanent


We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our client in the space sector, developing advanced technologies for NewSpace Satellites!


No prior space sector experience is required! This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to break into the space industry!


As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead end-to-end supply chain operations in a fast-paced, high-tech engineering environment. This is a hands-on, strategic role supporting mission-critical production and scaling operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and optimise the full supply chain: procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics
  • Develop supply chain strategy aligned with engineering and production goals
  • Manage supplier performance, costs, and risk mitigation
  • Lead production & material planning (MRP, BOMs, long-lead items)
  • Oversee shipping, international logistics, and compliance (e.g. Export controls)
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and production
  • Implement process improvements, KPIs, and systems (ERP/PLM)
  • Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team


Requirements:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in supply chain within high-tech manufacturing (space, aerospace, electronics, defence, etc.)
  • Strong experience with complex components, supplier management, and planning
  • Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems and regulated environments (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001)
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
