Job Title: Claims Team Leader (P&C)

Location: London - Hybrid

The Role

We are seeking a Claims Team Leader to join a small, high-performing London-based team. This is a hands-on, player-manager role, combining active claims handling with team oversight and stakeholder management.

You will manage a varied portfolio of commercial claims across multiple lines, often with an international or cross-border dimension, while supporting and guiding a small claims team.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of mid-market to large corporate claims across:
• Property
• Casualty / Liability
• Marine Cargo
• Lead and support a small claims team (circa 3 people)
• Act as a player-manager, balancing personal caseload with leadership responsibilities
• Manage cross-border claims, including those involving international/Korean insureds
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including head office in Korea
• Ensure timely and effective claims resolution in line with regulatory and company standards
• Contribute to process improvement within a lean and evolving operation

Required Experience & Skills

• 8–15 years’ experience in commercial non-life (P&C) claims
• Strong exposure to:
• Property
• Liability
• (Ideally) Marine Cargo or willingness to develop in this area
• Proven experience handling complex, corporate-level claims
• Ability to operate in a hands-on, autonomous environment
• Experience working across multiple lines of business (generalist profile preferred)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working within a lean team structure

Preferred Background

• Experience within:
• Company market insurers
• Mid-sized carriers
• Smaller syndicates or MGAs
• Exposure to international or cross-border claims
• Familiarity with working in multinational or culturally diverse environments (APAC exposure beneficial)
