Technical Architect - D365 Finance & Operations

Full-Time (no sponsorship can be offered)

Homebased - Travel to London / Client Sites

Security Clearance: Active SC (preferred) or eligible for SC clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical architecture and solution design for D365 F&O implementations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Define integration strategies, data migration approaches, and system extensibility frameworks.
• Guide development teams on best practices in X++ development, customization, and extensions.
• Ensure adherence to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O architecture standards and governance.
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, scalability, and security.
• Evaluate third-party add-ons and propose solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Mentor technical teams and promote knowledge sharing of D365 F&O capabilities.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations: Deep understanding of D365 F&O architecture, modules, and lifecycle management.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in X++, .NET, SQL Server, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and integration frameworks (OData, REST, Data Management Framework).
• Solution Architecture: Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions across complex environments.
• Integration & Migration: Experience with integrations (APIs, middleware) and data migration strategies.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Knowledge of Azure services, DevOps pipelines, and cloud deployment models.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Leadership: Experience guiding technical teams, reviewing code, and enforcing architectural standards.
• Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert, or equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O implementations, with 3+ years in an architectural role.
