Electrical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP)

Exeter – Hybrid Working

£45k - £55k Dependent on experience

This electrical design engineer role is to join a specialist building services design team within a large multidisciplinary building consultancy.

It’s to join a down to earth supportive friendly team of design engineers, designing a range of sustainably focused mechanical and electrical works for sectors such as education and local authority. Jobs may include taking the project lead or working as part of a larger design team.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of outline design schemes
• Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress.
• Detailed calculations
• Promote the use of renewable technologies.
• Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for each project.
• Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams

Qualifications/Attributes

• MEng / BEng / HND /HNC in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
• A minimum of 3 years electrical design experience in building services.
• Experience of Revit would be advantageous but not essential.
• High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc)
• Driving licence and car
