Financial Regulation Contentious Lawyer

Job description

We are working with an international law firm based in London for a lawyer to join their Financial Regulation team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join the Financial Regulation team, working on regulatory matters for leading financial institutions. They will advise on systemic issues, regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and redress programmes, while supporting engagement with bodies such as the FCA, PRA, and FOS, including preparing correspondence, managing reviews, and developing risk mitigation strategies.

They will also handle complex disputes and multi-stakeholder matters, including financial services litigation, collective actions, and mass complaints.

Essential Criteria:

• 4-6 years’ PQE;
• Strong experience working on contentious regulatory issues;
• Commercial awareness;
• Technically excellent;
• Ability to supervise and mentor juniors;
• Willingness to engage in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team;
• Ability to work in fast environment;
• Strong communication skills.
