The position will be part of a growing UK Compliance team supporting Ant International, in particular the provision of payments and financial services to corporate customers.
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, collaborative and agile regulatory compliance professional who is able to take the initiative to work closely with internal business, operations and various functional key-stakeholders in Ant International, to support the achievement of business targets and objectives, and to comply with and fulfil regulatory obligations and expectations.
The ideal candidate will be a UK regulatory compliance professional who has FCA experience as well as having strong interpersonal, project management and stakeholders management skills, and one who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
This role will work closely with our various Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) and other members in the Compliance team, the key responsibilities for this role is as follows:
- Provide regulatory compliance advice to business and functional teams regarding the e-money and payments regulations;
- Support the CCO in the regulatory reporting process;
- Support the CCO in the compliance due diligence review process for acquirers & financial institutions;
- Oversee our outsourcing framework and carry out any necessary outsourcing assessment;
- Conduct effective risk assessment on compliance risk event as well as for new product launches;
- Monitor internal and external business & regulatory environments to identify new or emerging risks and verify remediation of issues as applicable;
- Gain an in-depth understanding of risk applicable to products and business processes (including regulatory risk, outsourcing risk, operational resilience and business continuity) and maintain an effective compliance risk monitoring programme;
- Work closely with other internal functions and teams to ensure overall compliance to all applicable regulatory and licensing requirements; and
- Support on ad-hoc compliance projects as required.
Experience and Qualifications/Capabilities
- 5 years (+) in general regulatory compliance either in financial institutions or reputable international consulting firms.
- Experience in e-commerce, payments, card schemes or financial services industry is preferred.
- Team player as well as ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, and in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.
- Experience of analysing FCA regulatory requirements.
- Strong ability to understand internal and corporate governance, processes and controls.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
