Senior Associate – Property Damage (Coverage & Liability)

London | Hybrid / Flexible Working | £97,000 – £115,000


A top insurance litigation team is looking to appoint an experienced Solicitor (Senior Associate level) to join its highly regarded London practice.


This is an opportunity to work alongside market-leading lawyers on some of the most complex and high-value coverage and property damage matters.


Complex coverage experience wanted


You will join a specialist team handling high-profile coverage and liability disputes for major insurer clients. The work is intellectually challenging, often involving large-loss, multi-party claims with technical and strategic complexity.


Alongside core coverage and liability work, there is also exposure to some subrogated recovery matters, offering a well-rounded and varied caseload.


More about the work


  • Managing your own caseload (depending on experience) and supporting on major loss matters
  • Advising on coverage, liability, quantum and litigation strategy
  • Drafting detailed advice to insurer clients on complex issues
  • Assisting partners on high-value and technically challenging claims
  • Instructing counsel and experts
  • Conducting investigations and analysing evidence
  • Attending client meetings, mediations, and settlement discussions
  • Drafting court documents and applications

Candidate profile


Our client is always interested in hearing from good candidates. Ideally, you should:


  • Be a qualified Solicitor with strong experience in coverage and liability disputes
  • Have a background in property damage or insurance litigation
  • Be confident managing and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex, technical matters
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
