EL/OL/PL Fee Earner

Miller Grace are working with a well-established Legal 500 Law Firm in South Manchester who is looking to expand their OL/PL team with the addition of an experienced Fee Earner.

We are keen to speak with fee earners from a variety of backgrounds, provided you have EL/PL experience and a genuine interest in developing within an OL/PL environment. The client is open to candidates who have 1 years experience handling a litigated EL/PL caseload either as a solicitor, CILEX qualified, or those who are qualified by experience.

This opportunity will involve managing your own caseload of predominantly pre- and post-issue fast track OL/PL matters, within a supportive and high-performing team.

Importantly, all work is sourced through high-quality, non-CMC channels, ensuring lawyers handle only genuine, well-founded claims.

In addition to a competitive basic salary (up to £55,000 DOE), the firm offers a highly attractive, uncapped commission structure. Lawyers are rewarded with a percentage of every successfully concluded case — with no thresholds or caps — providing a clear and transparent route to maximise earnings.

The Role

• Manage a caseload of OL/PL claims from inception through to resolution
• Conduct legal research and deliver clear, practical advice to clients
• Draft key legal documentation, including pleadings and witness statements
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients at hearings where required
• Work effectively within a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Stay up to date with relevant legal developments and procedural changes

About You

• Proven experience managing a litigated caseload with a strong billing record
• Demonstrable tenacity and a proactive approach to progressing claims
• Confident handling OL/PL fast track matters (including some portal exposure)
• Solid understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation strategy
• Experience managing files from inception through to trial or settlement
• Familiarity with Proclaim case management system (desirable)
