Senior Quantity Surveyor - Power & Renewable

Temp-to-Perm

Scotland


We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing commercial team supporting the delivery of complex power and renewables projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost reports, and bill of quantities (BOQs)
  • Lead commercial meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and progress applications
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including payments, retentions, and agreements
  • Identify and report commercial risks, variations, and escalations
  • Collaborate with planning teams to align programme and cost reporting
  • Assess and agree dayworks, change orders, and remeasurements
  • Maintain accurate records and provide detailed commercial support documentation
  • Negotiate with clients and stakeholders where required
  • Ensure adherence to internal information security and governance standards


Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally on electrical or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract conditions and commercial processes
  • NEC3 contract experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Must have the right to work within the UK
