Business Risk & Control Analyst

Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Rate: £425 per day (Umbrella)

Contract: 6 months

Morgan McKinley is recruiting for a Risk & Control Analyst to join a leading investment bank on an initial 6 month contract.

The Risk & Control Analyst will be working on strengthening front office control frameworks and supporting robust Customer Protection and Market Practices standards across the business.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of the front office control environment. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple business and control functions, you will help ensure risks are identified early and effectively managed through strong governance, controls, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the enhancement of the front office control framework within the Central Benchmarks and Auctions First Line of Defence Risk Team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business and control functions
• Assist with governance activities, including preparation of management information and reporting for senior forums
• Contribute to control remediation and issue resolution projects where required
• Analyse and prepare high-quality management reporting for senior governance committees
• Support the wider team in maintaining and improving risk and control frameworks related to Customer Protection and Market Practices

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, including risk assessments, control design, and control effectiveness testing
• Excellent execution skills with the ability to drive actions through to completion
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
• A proactive, professional mindset with strong ownership and initiative
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
