About the Company

I am working with a well-established and growing MEP contractor looking to appoint an experienced Operations / Contracts Manager during an exciting phase of restructure and growth. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a forward-thinking, down-to-earth business delivering major residential developments across London.

About the Role

You will take full operational and commercial responsibility for a portfolio of MEP residential projects, working closely with senior leadership while playing a key role in the company’s continued growth. This role requires a candidate from a strong MEP background who is comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and has delivered high-rise, high-volume residential schemes — often in excess of 1,000 units.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing multiple live sites across London
• Full commercial and contractual oversight of projects
• Acting as the main client-facing representative
• Leading and mentoring Project Managers and site teams
• Ensuring programme delivery, quality, and financial performance
• Supporting procurement strategy and subcontractor management
• Driving operational improvements following company restructure

Qualifications

• Must come from an MEP background (essential)
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Contracts Manager within MEP
• Strong background in large-scale residential projects (essential)
• Experience delivering high-rise, high-volume developments
• Track record of schemes circa 1,000+ units or similarly large projects
• Background working with or alongside major developers is highly desirable
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Confident, client-facing communicator
• Proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at pace

Pay range

Salary up to £125,000
