Commercial Project Manager


As Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex commercial projects, with a strong focus on technology transfer and licensing partnerships; including the ownership of high-value programmes, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder alignment, and commercial performance, while working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.


This is a leading organisation in the engineering and technology sector, who deliver technology for global decarbonisation.


This is a strategic yet hands-on position for someone with strong programme delivery experience and commercial acumen, offering the opportunity to influence major engineering and technology initiatives.


Responsibilities - Commercial project manager


  • Deliver complex commercial projects, focusing on tech transfer for new and existing partnerships (including major licensing agreements).
  • Lead cross-functional project delivery, ensuring governance, risk, and control frameworks are maintained.
  • Implement and oversee commercial delivery strategy for major engineering and technology programs.
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support statement of work creation and execution; experience here is highly valued.
  • Drive P&L oversight, revenue recognition, and margin forecasting for assigned projects.


Experience & skills - Commercial project manager


  • Strong background in engineering, project, or program management.
  • Experience delivering commercial or licensing partnerships in technology, engineering, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Expertise in risk management, governance, and change control (PRINCE2, Agile, MS Project preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including C-suite and technical leads.
  • Gravitas to lead meetings, challenge assumptions, and ensure accountability.
  • Hybrid working, with commitment to regular presence in Horsham.
