Job Title: Cafe Assistant
Location: Aberystwyth – Cwm Rheidol
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary Part-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Cafe Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a student looking for summer employment. Please note we are open every day between 1st May and 30th September and weekend and bank holiday working is required.

Training:

• Dates: 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th of April
• Attendance for all four days is required

Duties:

• Welcoming tourists, building rapport, and creating a positive experience
• Food and drink preparation
• Giving site tours
• Serving customers
• General cleaning duties
• Cash management
• Stock control

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong customer service skills
• Must be 18 or over
• Reliable transportation due to remote site location
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Cash handling experience
• Problem-solving abilities

Shift Patterns:

• Hours between: 08:30 – 16:30, Monday – Sunday with core café opening 10:30 – 16:15
• Shifts assigned a week in advance based on availability

Additional Requirements:

• Pro-active team worker who cooperates with all staff
• Operate within company policy, maintaining integrity and confidentiality
• Abide by health and safety legislation
