ROLE: Engineering Manager
HOURS: 40 hours per week ; 7 till 4pm (paid lunch 1 hour)
LOCATION: Heathrow Airport - Hounslow - Northrop Road - Engineering Compound

We’re looking for a Engineering Manager who ensures all Statutory and Mandatory elements of the contract and relevant standards are achieved, acting as the lead for all hard service disciplines across site.
Role Responsibilities:
• Lead all hard service disciplines across site, ensuring all Statutory and Mandatory compliance, safe systems of work, and high‑quality service delivery for the Thales client.
• Manage PPM and reactive tasks to SLA/KPI levels, oversee the engineering team, deliver PDA training/usage, maintain training matrices, and support and mentor engineers.
• Manage subcontractors including bookings, RAMS reviews, certification uploads, work scopes, quotations, and performance, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
• Support FM with stakeholder relationships, monthly reports, cross‑functional working, resilience across site, project input, One Team ethos, and proactive customer‑focused service improvement.
• Drive energy‑saving initiatives, optimise systems and processes for efficiency, attend client meetings, enhance health and safety, and escalate technical issues where required.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification with experience in M&E disciplines and specialist systems (liquid nitrogen, oxygen monitoring, compressed air).
• Proven experience managing multi‑skilled engineering teams, subcontractors, compliance activities, and associated administration.
• Strong customer focus with Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH Working Safely), full driving licence, ability to work at heights, strong communication skills, and a committed, professional approach.
