Regulatory reporting and Governance Manager

Rate: £600 - £650 per day via Umbrella

6-month contract (potential extension)

We’re partnering with a leading fintech organisation to support the hire of a Regulatory Reporting & Governance Manager on a contract basis. This role sits within a second line of defense compliance function and offers strong visibility across senior stakeholders and key regulatory activities.

The Role

This position will take ownership of governance and regulatory reporting for the UK entity, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations while driving improvements across monitoring and oversight frameworks.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how compliance is delivered, with a particular focus on governance, reporting, and risk-based monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Committee Oversight

• Own and manage Risk & Compliance Committee activity
• Enhance governance frameworks and escalation processes

Regulatory Reporting

• Lead end-to-end regulatory reporting (e.g. Complaints, incidents, fraud, notifications)
• Partner with internal stakeholders and regulatory teams on submissions

Monitoring & Oversight

• Design and deliver a risk-based compliance monitoring programme
• Conduct testing and reviews to assess control effectiveness
• Identify gaps and support remediation activity
• Provide independent challenge to first line teams

Policy & Advisory

• Support development of compliance policies and procedures
• Provide subject matter expertise on UK regulatory requirements

About You

• Strong experience within UK financial services compliance
• Proven background in regulatory reporting and governance
• Hands-on experience with compliance monitoring and testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of FCA regulations (e.g. PSRs, EMRs, FCA Handbook)
• Experience operating within a second line of defense (2LOD) function
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting at governance forums
