Commercial Manager – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This role is based from our Banbury Head Office and is offered on a 12‑month fixed term contract.


The role

As a Commercial Manager, you will act as a true brand ambassador, owning and driving category growth across Wholesale, Convenience, E‑commerce and Health sectors. You will play a key role in strengthening supplier and customer relationships, delivering profitable growth and ensuring commercial excellence throughout the product lifecycle.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and developing category growth across multiple channels
  • Driving cash‑flow improvement through management of supplier aged and disputed debt
  • Recovering costs associated with residuals, overstocks and out‑of‑date stock
  • Delivering a tailored category management approach to customers, aligned to their individual needs
  • Communicating and negotiating effectively at all levels, internally and externally
  • Acting as a clear communication link between sales teams, customers and suppliers
  • Representing DCS at internal meetings, external events and industry seminars
  • Owning the end‑to‑end product recall process, ensuring full compliance at every stage


About you

  • Highly motivated, proactive and commercially focused, with a positive “can‑do” attitude
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, able to prioritise effectively and make sound commercial decisions under pressure
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with others to achieve shared goals
