Job description

We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to drive revenue growth in our warehouse automation and robotics solutions, including ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems).

This role combines hands-on new business development with sales leadership, requiring a proactive “hunter” mindset alongside the ability to develop strategy, manage pipeline, and potentially lead or mentor a sales team. You will be instrumental in expanding our footprint across key sectors such as e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, and 3PL.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth & New Business

  • Lead front-line sales activity, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in warehouse automation and intralogistics
  • Own and deliver against annual sales targets and revenue goals

Lead Generation & Pipeline Management

  • Drive proactive lead generation through cold outreach, networking, events, and digital channels
  • Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Implement structured sales processes and reporting discipline

Sales Leadership

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to junior sales team members (if applicable)
  • Support development of sales strategy, territory planning, and account targeting
  • Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture

Consultative Solution Selling

  • Engage with customers to understand operational challenges and business drivers
  • Position tailored solutions across ASRS, robotics, AMRs, conveyors, and sortation systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and solution design teams to develop proposals

Key Account & Stakeholder Management

  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers (e.g. Supply Chain Directors, Operations Leaders)
  • Manage complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder engagements

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor trends in warehouse automation, robotics, and intralogistics
  • Identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and competitor activity

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or Senior Business Development role
  • Strong track record of winning new business (“hunter” mentality)
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Warehouse automation / intralogistics
  • ASRS systems
  • Robotics / materials handling equipment (MHE)
  • Supply chain or logistics technology
  • Experience managing complex, high-value sales cycles (£1m+)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Strong leadership or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially astute
