UK wide with travel to client on request.

Salary: up to £80,000 Gross/a


About the Role

This is a hybrid technical role, combining hands‑on development with architectural ownership, ideal for a senior consultant who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments and enjoys shaping both solutions and teams.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead low‑level solution design for end‑to‑end D365FO implementations, ensuring security, accessibility, performance, and scalability.
  • Design and implement robust, reusable D365FO customisations using X++ and the Unified Developer Experience.
  • Define and deliver integration architecture across the full Microsoft stack, including Azure and third‑party systems.
  • Provide technical leadership across delivery teams, mentoring developers and upholding development standards.
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of our D365FO capabilities, exploring innovation areas such as cloud sustainability and AI.
  • Support capability building, knowledge sharing, and recruitment activities within the delivery practice.
  • Work within Agile teams delivering complex programmes for clients across the UK and internationally.


What You’ll Bring

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience delivering full‑cycle Microsoft ERP implementations across multiple projects and sectors.
  • Strong hands‑on development expertise in X++, with working knowledge of .NET technologies.
  • Experience designing and extending D365FO frameworks, including:
  • SysOperations
  • Form Letter
  • Number Sequences
  • Address Book
  • Dimensions
  • Process Automation and HR modules
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Unified Developer Experience, Git source control, and modern ALM practices.
  • Experience designing and developing ISV solutions.
  • Expertise in unit testing using the ATL framework.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to lead, support, and develop high‑performing technical teams.
