Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage detailed MEP quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs for the data centre project.
  • Monitor project costs, track variances, and provide monthly cost reports and forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, commercial proposals, and subcontractor quotations.
  • Evaluate MEP subcontractor claims, variations, and change orders in line with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast cash flows and manage project budgets.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analysis for MEP packages, providing recommendations to mitigate cost impacts.
  • Support procurement strategies by analyzing cost data and subcontractor performance.
  • Liaise closely with the MEP design and delivery teams to ensure alignment between design intent, construction methods, and budget.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth commercial operations.
  • Provide guidance to junior QS staff and support knowledge sharing within the team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying, ideally within data centre, high-tech, or complex building projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Proven experience with commercial management software (e.g., CostX, Aconex, or similar).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC / NEC / JCT contracts and commercial processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high professional standards.
