Job description

About Us

We are a fast-growing renewable energy developer focused on small-to-medium scale solar projects (1-10MW) across the UK. Backed by a leading global listed energy software corporation, we combine a world-class supply chain with cutting-edge EMS (Energy Management Systems) to deliver premium RTB and Turnkey solutions. We are building our core team to scale our Front-of-the-Meter (FTM) and BTM portfolio.

The Role

We are looking for a Chartered Electrical Engineer to lead our grid connection strategy. You will be the technical "anchor," ensuring our projects meet all UK regulatory standards (G99/G100) while integrating our advanced Chinese hardware and software solutions into the UK grid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grid Compliance: Lead G99/G100 applications and manage the full lifecycle of DNO (UKPN, NGED, etc.) coordination from application to commissioning.
  • Technical Interface: Serve as the primary technical lead for investor due diligence and DNO technical reviews.
  • Design Oversight: Review SLDs and Protection Relay Settings; ensure EPC designs align with UK standards (BS 7671, BS EN 62109).
  • Supply Chain Integration: Work closely with our R&D team to localize inverter and EMS specifications for the UK market.
  • Project Delivery: Safeguard the grid connection timeline to ensure on-time asset delivery and prevent contractual delays.

What You’ll Need

  • Certification: Must be a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of G99, G100, and UK distribution network operations.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in solar/BESS project engineering (1-10MW scale preferred).
  • Mindset: A proactive problem-solver comfortable in a fast-paced, cross-cultural startup environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Direct exposure to the latest AI-driven energy management technology.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
