Location: Bristol (BS10)Hours: Full Time, Monday–Friday (term time)Pay: £92.95 – £105 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, patient and proactive Behaviour & Intervention Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Bristol. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), additional learning needs, and behavioural challenges.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a positive mindset and relevant experience from care, youth work, psychology or education studies, sports coaching, or other people-focused roles.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Behaviour & Intervention Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with ASC and other Special Educational Needs
  • Help implement tailored learning plans and behaviour intervention strategies
  • Support emotional regulation, communication skills and social interaction
  • Use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) techniques under the guidance of senior practitioners
  • Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and wider support teams
  • Encourage confidence, independence and positive outcomes for each learner
