You will support pupils with reading, writing, analysis, and exam preparation through 1:1 work, small-group intervention, and lesson support, while learning from experienced staff in a live secondary environment. National Careers says secondary teachers work with students aged 11 to 16, or up to 19 in schools with sixth forms.The Candidate: You are articulate, organised, and able to explain ideas clearly. You want proper school-based experience, enjoy helping pupils improve in English, and see this as a genuine route into teaching rather than just another temporary job. School-centred teacher training routes in England are designed to be hands-on, with trainees in the classroom from the start and supported by mentoring and structured training.Requirements

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
